During the many years I worked for airlines and traveled the world, nothing had given me the desire to capture and express the feelings inside me, until my move to the deserts of Arizona. I started painting in 2001, with pastels, concentrating on landscapes, desert plants, animals and the beauty surrounding me. In a short time, I discovered the joy of acrylics and the idea of abstraction. Gradually, while studying with many local and internationally known artists, I realized that abstract painting is my passion. Although, occasionally, I venture back to the life of drawing and reality, my time, my creativity and the results of my work now truly reflects my inner feelings and thoughts. I primarily work with acrylics, using many mediums, inks, scraps, any kind of paper, including hand-painted, pieces of plant life, even rattlesnake skins.
All paintings are finished with 3 - 5 layers of UV Varnish and are ready to hang.

I live and work in Southern Arizona, and usually show locally. I am a Signature Member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and the Contemporary Artists of Southern Arizona. I am also a member of the Tubac Center for the Arts, Santa Rita Art League (past president) and the Community Performance & Art Center in Green Valley.
I am priviledged to volunteer for all of these organizations and participate, in most, if not all their sponsored exhibits.
I am now a juried member of the Desert Artisans Gallery at 6536 E Tanque Verde in Tucson. The new show will open on May 14th & continue until August 11th. The Reception is Friday May 17th, 5 - 7 PM, Everyone is invited. The gallery is open daily, Mon - Sat. 10 - 5pm, Sun 10 - 1:30 and features paintings, pottery, prints, cards, jewelry, yard art and more.
I am currently exhibiting at the So. Arizona Watercolor Guild Gallery on Craycroft & River in Tucson through June 2nd. I will be working the Gallery on May 25th from 11 - 4PM. Would love to see you.
My next exhibit will be in Green Valley at the West Center, 1111 Via Arco Iris. July 2 - 29th. The show will be called "The Valley Girst, and also feature Romy Angle's beautiful Mixed Media pieces.
